Surviving After Art School is a new series of artist-led seminars aimed at artists at all stages of their career. The seminars aim to give practical support and advice about navigating the art world, and surviving that not just the crucial first few years after graduating but how to sustain your practice long term.

Artists, Rosalind Davis & Annabel Tilley, co-founders of Core Gallery's highly successful Show & Tell artists development programme take a wry, serious, insightful & funny look at Surviving as an Artist in a world already overpopulated by artists. How do you make people know you exist and how do you hang on?  Our guide shall tell you what to do how to survive & how to thrive. 



About the speakers.
Rosalind Davis is a graduate from the RCA and Chelsea College of Art. Artist, Curator award-winning blogger, writer, lecturer at the University of the Arts, member of the AIR Council, Core Gallery & DIY Educate manager.
She has exhibited nationally and internationally with work in private and public collections. Her work shall be entered into the Courtauld Institute 2012- 14.  In 2009 she founded Core Gallery a dynamic artist-led gallery space working with over 200 artists and curators.
Davis lectures in professional practice for a number of organisations such as University of the Arts, a-n, AIR and independent groups such as Hackney Exchange Project Space.

Annabel Tilley is an artist, curator and writer. Annabel Tilley trained in Fine Art at The University of Brighton, and exhibits nationally and internationally and was shortlisted for the Jerwood Drawing Prize in 2005. She has undertaken several residencies and public commissions, Most recently, she created a wall drawing for London/Berlin, a drawing survey exhibition curated by Andrew Hewish (C4RD, London) at Fruehsorge Contemporary Drawing in Berlin.
Her work is held in private collections in Britain and France. Annabel Tilley has written for Arty Magazine and Garageland, and also writes regular reviews for a-n’s Interface, and the blog: how to emerge?. Annabel Tilley trained in Fine Art Painting at The University of Brighton.
